Report

Yet again A-1 held Colts to a draw in another close game, the day didnt start off very well and this may have been due to many Colts players taking to the field as the game was about to kick off. The lack of warmup looked to hamper Colts as they started slowly in which A1 took full advantage of and began to dominate the early stages. Good work from Lee denied their striker twice. But the goal was comming and the deadlock was broken when a cross from the left was met by one of their players who converted easily from close range.

Colts should of pushed on and got themselves back into the game but that wasnt the case. A1 Doubled their league after a well struck shot from the edge of the area left Lee helpless. Colts did then begin to sort themselves out and managed to get back in the game when new signing Nathan Searle latched onto a through ball and cooly prodded it past the on rushing goal keeper.

Colts kept going and were keen to get back in the game, great goal line clearances from C.Parker and Peduto prevented A1 from increasing the margain, however the goodwork was undone when A1 scored a free header from the resulting corner.

Colts pushed on and chances started to appear at both ends, Colts were back in the game after good work from Searle down the wing and a very fortunate mistake from the goal keeper who bundled an easy catch into his net.

With twenty mins left Parker was brought on for Jones, who had been a real spark for the team was unfortunately flagging. Colts kept going and Searle nearly replicated his first with a near identical finish, unfortunately for him and colts the ball beat the keeper but wasnt firm enough to finish in the back of the net.

Lane then kept the keeper busy with a powerful shot from close range. Colts however did get and equaliser out of the game and it came from a rare set piece, Adam Wisker picking out Neil Parker at the front post who flicked a header across goal and into the top corner.
